| Notes: Grounded near Detour, northern L. Huron June 7. After her cargo was
removed she made for Ecorse for repairs, relying on the air pressure
in her sealed holds to keep her afloat, but she filled and sank enroute.
Her crew was rescued by her fleetmate SIR HENRY BESSEMER. She was
a Pittsburger, sunk not far from her sister NORMAN. |
