Curacao, located off the coast of Venezuela, is the largest of the 5 islands that make up the Netherland Antilles. Because it is well south of the hurricane belt, Curacao offers good diving year round.
The Curacao Underwater Park stretches 12.5 miles from Princess Beach Resort to East Point, and features 20 marked dive sites. There are dramatic coral walls with deep drop offs, and the diving in shallow waters is excellent too, with huge brain corals and sponges. Moray eels, nurse shark, turtles and a variety of fish inhabit the reefs.
